Yes it will.
The beauty of the midifighter is that it integrates with virtually any setup.
+1
I started using it with Serato and then bought the VCI-100SE and transferred over to Traktor LE and then upgraded to Pro and I must say it was useful all the way through the transition. You have to map it yourself to get the full potential of the unit. (IMHO of course)
no it wont. i mean it will, but on LE you cant save loops, cue points or grids… so the MF is almost useless (for its intended use that cought the OPs attention)
Really? I didn’t notice that with LE, I only used it for a week so I guess I was learning and messing and stuff. Thats a shame. Either way, its awesome.
Thanks for clearing this up, to be honest I’ve never touched LE as I am a TSP user. I would suggest that the OP upgrade to Pro, it has has many more features and is a lot better from what I gather (more effects, etc).
x2
i think im our LE expert since i used it for about a year lol
EDIT: but i never did anything with the preferences window, except switch sound cards
EDIT 2: and i used traktor 3 le most of the time because i didnt know the difference between traktor 3 le and traktor le
ahhh the newb days
So your saying LE cant use custom maps?
As long as you can map functions the midifighter is of use, obviously you cant use eans mappings with LE - but thats beside the point…
His question was will it work just fine with LED and my BCR, not can I use Eans mapping on LE.
you can use custom mappings. but you need to do it the dirty way, and ive never tried it, so i dont know if it works
just go to: start > search
then search ‘traktor le’
EDIT: you can also search ’ .tks ’ and just see the file path and then follow it. this is much easier.
alternativly you can just go to the location where every thing is installed
then you have to find the right .TKS (remember i was using traktor 3 le, but im sure this would work with traktor le too) and replace it with a custom mapping that was pre made.
HOWEVER! you must rename the new mapping so that it has the EXACT same name as the old one.
how do i know this? a couple years ago me and my friends downloaded the halo 1 trial from microsoft and this is how you would use custom maps lol
actually, you know what. ill test this first so you dont screw up your software. can someone link me to a numark total control tks? i dont care about the mapping its self, just the tks
edit: also, there may be some features in your new mapping that are not supported by traktor le, so its possible that the command wont do anything, or the map wont work at all. this is why you should wait for me to test it first.
AND IF YOU DO THIS ON YOUR OWN, PLEASE BACK UP THE ORIGINAL MAPPING AND WRITE DOWN THE FILE PATH
ok. tested, mostly.
heres the step by step for traktor 3 le. im sure its the same for traktor le too
start > search > all files and folder > under ‘all or part of the file name’ search for: .tks
look for the .tks with the name of your controller in it.
right click > open in containing folder
leave that window open (the one with the .tks’s location)
get your new mapping and rename it so it has the EXACT SAME NAME as the original
for example, traktor 3 le named the numark total controls mapping ‘T3LEMidi Numark TotalTrack Control.tks’
and the one i downloaded was called ‘d3-tc-settings1.tks’ or something similar
so i renamed ‘d3-tc-settings1tks’ to ‘T3LEMidi Numark TotalTrack Control.tks’
create a new folder anywhere (i did it on my desk top) called ‘original tks’ or whatever you want to call it
move the original tks from the original folder and move it to the new one you just made. (this is so you back it up so its not lost for ever)
move your newly renamed tks and put it in the original folder where the original tks was
close the windows, plug in your controller, boot up traktor 3 le and youre set ![]()
____**__________*____*
like i said, im sure its the same exact thing for traktor le but in my directions replace the words ‘traktor 3 le’ with ‘traktor le’ and ‘.tks’ with ‘.tsi’
also, whatever commands are not supported in LE just wont work. play around with your new mapping to see how it works and if there are any glitches though
practice and n-joy
EDIT: you also need to keep in mind that with LE you cannot save loops, grids, or cue points.
Thanks alot guys…
