Recording Loops/Samples on the Fly without a DVS

Is there a way to do this using 2 CDJ2000 nexus decks and an RMX1000? I know I can preload samples into the sample bank on the RMX but I was wondering if anyone had more flexible way of doing this on the fly, without the use of a DVS that is..

You could get a looper:

Or you can get a sampler:

Or both.

(P.S. I think you mean DAW not DVS)
