RekordBox Dj Software!

RekordBox Dj Software!

YOur opinions?

Personally, I am excited to see this come into fruition. It will be nice to have plug n play hardware to software combination when playing out on gigs. I already prefer rekordbox top boith traktor and serato for track preperation. This just takes it to the next level. Hopefully it won’t be locked specifically to Pioneer equipment!

No wonder Cross DJ has been so quiet lately.

I believe since the Rekordbox 2.0 Pioneer has no relations with Mixvibes and their Cross/DJ software :unamused:

I still don’t get it how will they sway over DJ’s that already use Traktor with Pio stuff on HID mode…

Provide HID on the 850 since NI still has yet to work with pioneer on it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Provide the software for free with any Pioneer controller would be one way.

Having better cdj integration than Traktor would be another.

Anyhows they have a ton of their own DJ controllers that they are currently paying NI and Serato a chunk of change for software license bundles that are not necessary anymore - they win either way.

I somehow get the feeling that the software will be locked to Pioneer controllers only.

True but I can assure you Pio still won’t enable 850 to have the same features as 900 & 2000, even with their software.

First one is valid.
For the second see my reply to hellnegative

That is their incentive, not ours. It would be ours if their DJ controllers became cheaper because of lack of SeratoDJ licences (you don’t get Traktor licence with Pioneer stuff anymore).

[QUOTE=SlayForMoney;729704]True but I can assure you Pio still won’t enable 850 to have the same features as 900 & 2000, even with their software.

But 850 has HID mode with Serato. Why not just do it for Traktor and their software?

As a Serato user on Pioneer gear I imagine we will be the people most affected / likely to change, particularly if its offered for free.

A part of me hopes its terrible so I don’t even have to consider moving all my music over to recordbox, but I can’t see that happening, Pioneer are usually bang on form.

Does it even STEM?

i laughed

Did something happen recently with Rekordbox I’m not aware of? It still seems bound to Pioneer gear and was redundant on CDJ2000NXS really only fulfilling the role of a preparation front end to the CDJs themselves. What am I missing here?

You haven’t seen the video then

I think this is a good way for them to go down, when i saw the interface, it screamed SX2/SZ at me…i really hope its compatible…as a tractor scratch user with an SX2, the lack of HID is shit…and while serato DJ has improved, i still think its lacking imo

Hmmmm… he says it’s like the 909 on super steroids… which is a drum machine? but then there’s images of a ground post, crossfader etc. Any idea who’s vioce that is at the beginning??

Looks like we will find out Thursday anyway!

EDIT: I was thinking of the roland 909, not the pioneer 909 mixer!

They will release the 4 channel version of the Z2 we’ve been waiting on NI to release. :stuck_out_tongue:

This is the 909 they are referring to, a DJM909.

I am personally very excited about this. I loved my DJM-T1 but was missing a send/return or on board effects (for when I’m playing real vinyl) not just MP3 through Traktor. Therefore, this could be answering my prayers, then again!!! At least I only have days to wait!!

damn… There was definitely more room for two more channel faders and a set of pots. Kin dof dissapointed. I was expecting ore than just a DVS friendly version of the 400.
