Rekordbox Security

For the record, I never complained about digging for music.

Not practical.

I spend most of my week going through my promos and sorting out the diamonds amongst the rough to ensure that my sets are always fresh and not the same that every other dj is playing where I live and in theory it would be useful to password protect my USB sticks, but in reality it could prove to be more hassle than its worth, considering so many dj’s stand and trainspot what i am playing or even worse stand in the dj box with their phone in hand using Soundhound or shazam which i find rude and insulting, but its just part of the game and music is there to be heard.

I find Shazam rude too, but I can’t hate. I would do the same thing to see if it worked. Dog eat Dog.

Do you have tracklists with any mixes you upload to the web?

Didn’t Sandra Collins steal Paul Van Dyk’s record to launch her own career?

If I’m doing a mix, it really depends. I have uploaded mixes with tracklisting in the past, but I just don’t see the need to anymore. Before I used to do it so I could leverage my mix off the popularity of the artists that I played, so I can have it easier for someone to find.

Now, I just don’t care about letting people know the songs that I’ve played because it’s already easy enough to figure it out. Also, the act of not adding tracklisting generates a converstation.

You’re talking about getting annoyed about people taking advantage of your hard work when you’re doing the same to producers by not publicising their tracks in your mixes…

What does that mean? (not asking to be a jerk)

A conversation about what you might or might not be playing?

I was wondering that too. My guess is people commenting to ask what track is playing at XX:XX in the mix.

Track ID anyone?

I don’t touch a mix without a tracklist. I don’t know you.

BTW…just thought back to this Topic and asked myself:

Is this not a solution to your Problem???:
