I have a gig in 3 days and i changed my cartridge then it starts saying right channel missing i thought it might be that cartridge so I changed it back. and still the same problem what is happening here ive searched loads of threads and all see is people saying same problem but no fixes.please some one help me
my setup
technics 1210,traktor z2,traktor 2.7 novation dicers
here is a video. at 0.38 i plugged the cables in and out
its the same when i switch it to the left side could it be the rca cables. i just dont understand how it could play perfect untill i swapped the cartridge
I have just tried vinyl and for some reason on deck b only one speakers works they work perfect on deck a i did get my technics cheap so i was expecting them to fuck up i think they just need a service and new rca cables.
Had a similar problem with 2.7 and a Z2, no matter what I changed the right deck wouldn’t calibrate. Went back to 2.6.8 and surprise surprise it worked perfectly.
yeap and i also use a brand new pencil eraser it fits perfectly in there and is slightly abrasive enough to buff the contacts. then a drop of DeOxit electrical lube and your good.
I guess I am wrong. I had the same thing happen with a A6. even when I changed the stylus it still did not work because the cartridges were blown. this is a stupid question but do you have a different piece of hard ware set in the audio setup than the z2. do you have a normal piece of vinyl to test your phono outs from your turntable into your mixer?
If you play a vinyl record, is your right channel missing in any way?
I get constant “ground hum” and “right channel missing” notices in traktor. Even though there is no ground hum when playing vinyl, and both channels are perfectly fine and level. So Traktor says there is an issue, but it doesnt affect sound quality or performance.
I think its a bit of a control vinyl quirk to be honest.
if your turntables work perfectly straight into your mixer. I don’t see why control vinyl would not work. it looks like the USB cord is broken. I don’t think there is anything wrong with the Z2. another stupid question, are your turntables grounded?
I have traktor 7.1 recently upgraded. I tired playing regular vinyl and for some reason only one speaker worked, I do not have an amp I have monitors. Ii changed the heads of my RCA cables the last time it happned but what fixed it was licking the catridge lol as I said my technics I got cheap and are pretty damaged so they are due a service, so when I take it in the shop what do you guys think I should get replaced the tone arm, RCA and get rid off the ground wire ? Yes my turntables are grounded and I don’t think it’s the z2 as it’s new I’ve had like 2 months. Thanks for all the help
