S2 has no Auxiliary jack, look for something else?

I personally feed the S2 into a cheap mixer so other sources can just be plugged into that. but if you wanted something that was still cheap but a littl;e more professional than the above i’d even go as far as to try this for an even quicker turnaround… under £5 on ebay

This!

If your computer has crashed, your S2, like many other controllers, is useless until your computer comes back to life. A controller does just that, controls a program on your computer. With an S4 you can run line/phono in, but it’s still not going to work if the computer has crashed.

The adapter offers a quick fix on the cheap. Also, if you’re playing out at most any respectable club, they would have a mixer you could plug the iPod into and raise the level.

just wow:roll_eyes:

you’d only use that to get an rca output from the ipod (other mp3 players are available) to the mixer. the s2 wouldnt need this

I wonder if this could be used backwards…

Like, plug in a sound source on the single end, then have different output options (different speakers, headphone, etc) on the other ends - like a mixer where only one channel can be active at a time… I might have an odd use for that…

yeah there’s no physical/technical reason it wouldnt work. might wanna turn the source output volume down when switching though to avoid loud pops / speaker damage

O_O i think someone didn’t read the posts thoroughly

Just do what oliosky said, that’s the simpelest solution, if you want a bit more advanced solution buy a cheap mixer and then you can switch to your ipod whenever you want.
