s4 and midi pad controllers

So I was just wondering if it was possible to use a midi pad controller and assign fx to it from traktor so I could use more fx while I’m mixing exc. Any info helps! Thanks!

yup, a lot of forum members use their midifighters in this way.

So If I were to get like an akai mpd 26 or like a m audio trigger finger I could assign fx to them from traktor pro s4 software?

If it supports MIDI then yes, you should be able to map any of those controls to effects within Traktor. I do this with my Midifighter and my Korg nanoKONTROL for various effects, volume sliders, etc…

You shouldn’t have any issues.

Also if you bought the S4 new you can upgrade to Traktor Pro 2 for free. Everything works a bit better with TP2, I’d suggest getting the upgrade. After all, it is free.

The #1 setup is an X1 and a Midi Fighter.

I use the S4 and my Traktor. I have a Traktor Pad mapping on this site for download
