Ill be honest a lot of people jumped on the S4 and didnt have much experience on how to troubleshoot gear. they wanted everything to be plug and play. Being a digital dj requires you to be part geek and part handy manny to fix things.
That’s nuts. I am going to try it out sometime soon, as I get more familiar with my tools. I wanna use it as a MIDI Fighter and plug it into my S4, which I hear a few people have done.
JesC I like your setup man, jus curious though by any chance do you know where I can pick up the UDG bag for Maschine in Cali?
So after you said it, I googled it once more, and couldn’t find it anywhere. Then I googled “Maschine UDG Bag - California” and the first things that popped up were my forum posts about it lol!
And then after that this is what I found:
So they have a bag for Traktor, but not one damn one for the Maschine. I mean it could be a mistake and I could fit the Maschine in there, but the one off NI’s website looks way cleaner.
I also have a feeling if I find it at some other retailer, it’ll be atleast $10 cheaper then off NI.
Anyway lemme know what you guys think as well, and sorry for hi-jacking your thread kind sir.
yeah but this is what i mean… u have a down side that u cant chnage the faders and etc… vci’s are easy to repair and repplace… but where would u get parts for s4 anyways? native is asking to send it in if anything happens… what if u really fully rely on it? i personally love the vci and if something happens within minutes i can get the fix…
its really hard to compare a vci-100 thats been out for many years to a s4 that has no more than 2 months on the streets and expected it to work 100% and replacement parts be avail at radio shack.
i am still kind of hesitating to buy the s4… cuz of the faders and replacement issues… i am not sure it is so stable as the vci although native does do very quality stuff,
