S4 kontrol problem please help
Hello I have leant an s4 off a friend along with krk rokit 5’s I can get music on traktor to play through the speakers using the s4 but the s4 does not light up and has no control I have played around with the setting but I am getting nowhere please helpppp
Which version of Traktor? Run the setup wizard.
Need a bit more info really.
Traktor 2 and I have an selected the s4 as a external controller the USB sign lights up and the blue volume levels either side of the main volume nob work no other lights come on don’t know wether I’m doing something wrong with the settings
click… preferences > controller manager > Add > Traktor > Kontrol S4 > Default.
Done that nothing happens at all am new to all this so could just be me but i don’t know what’s missing
Have you tried playing a track? Does moving the channel faders on the s4 move the corresponding fader on the screen? Are your in and out ports set to s4?
Played a track and it comes through the speakers which are plugged into the s4 but none of the faders do anything to the screen display
On in and outport it’s displayed as n/a and can’t be changed?
Make sure you’ve installed the latest drivers, and that you’re running the latest version of Traktor.

Done and not working when I try and calibrate the jog wheel it says “there are no mapped on trollers switch on device calibration aborted” :s
Sounds like its not recognising your USB connection. Can you try another USB port on your laptop and also try another USB cable if you have one.
D you have the external power adapter plugged in?
Try going into Preferences->Traktor Kontrol S4->Calibration. Try recalibrating all of the knobs, buttons, faders, jog wheels…etc
i think u have it set to external mixing mode. You want External Controller but internal Mixing mode
