Porter Robinson uses the S4… Enough said.
I think it really is…
To be honest, I’m only spinning at a local bar in the Netherlands, so it is not a huge club.
Last party was a Latin House party and I was really happy bringing my S4.
Yes
yes.
Last I heard, DJ Fresh uses one as well.
Yes. I never had one cut out of music or technical malfunction of the S4 yet. In clubs and private gigs.
However if you plan on DJ’ing at certain clubs that more or less use CDJ’s or TT’s only (like some EDM clubs in my area) you might get flack or looked down upon for using a controller. Sad but true. (Deep down I think some people are just jealous
)
There are quite a few big names using the S4 at pretty large gigs and clubs. Just google it. I watched a vid the other day of LMFAO using the S4 and a MF.
i use my s4 + midi fighter at our residencies and one off parties here. it’s fine. my friends that i play with, still use scratch live and they are into what i can do with tp2, the s4 and midi fighter.
same here..
Yes it is, just buy one already!
In case you missed this. YES.
Thanks guys. I like the s4 a lot. I def agress It’s a great tool to have, as someone just getting into the dj side of things it’s good to know that I’ve made a solid investment.
..If only there was a bridge for ableton and traktor to drag and drop from ableton into sample decks this thing would… well, I’m just happy that it works ![]()
Works wonders for me=) That said, do you guys often get the question when someone ask for a song?
“Do you have Spotify or Youtube?”
LOL!!
Maybe its just the people in my town![]()
A friend has been using my S4 at gigs in recent weeks and it’s worked with no issues at all.. it’s been out of my possession for a few weeks and I miss it but it’s cool seeing it “in action.”
It’s inspired me to work harder and get better to get beyond being a “living room dj”
I use the Ks4 in clubs in Paris. Sometimes, I have to remove a player to make room, but it is now accepted to arrive with a controller in a club. Was not the case a few years ago. I love the s4. Never froze, high quality soundcard, it’s just perfect for club. Only issue: it’s a little too big, and my answer to it is to bring a long RCA, so that you don’t mess with other djs setup. Still enjoy playing with Cds, but the versatility you get with the s4, the spontaneous mix, made me go full digital. Never have been booked as much as since I bought this beast.
HAHA LOL!!
No, I haven’t, so maybe it is only in your town ![]()
NI posted few new pics on their facebook album today
Does the S4 have a wireless feature I never heard about?
im far from being incredibly experienced, but i have used it at clubs. just gotta plug your outputs into the club’s mixer and your good to go.
NI have invented invisiwires!!! Sweet! ![]()
