s8 effects on external hardware

i am running a micro brute into my s8 channel D and when i turn of the traktor button on my s8 on play the micro brute all works great but when i try to apply traktors effects to the micro brute on that deck nothing happens am i wrong to think this should work? i use to be able to do this but with an external sound card so back when i was running my CNTRLR and an audio kontrol 1.

I tried all three kinds of effect routing (insert, send, post fader) on a deck using an external sound source and as expected, none of them has an effect (pun intended).
Working for an external deck are the fader, gain, the EQs and the filter.

Is the traktor button under the gain knob enabled?

You have to make sure, that the deck is a Live Input, not direct trough.

This is correct!
It’s the same as with Kontrol Z2 - the Traktor button need to be activated to apply Traktor effects.
