So my best friends sister just became principle at some school this summer. apparently she is also the ASB director and she will need a DJ for the school dances. I’m supposed to have an interview and then do some type of lunch time dj set just to make sure that the kids at her school like what I do.
any ways I was wondering if anyone has any tips or advice on how to dj to a bunch of high school kids. I mainly mix house and electro and I know a lot of the kids are into that dirty dutch shuffling stuff

loads of good tunes, and basically just make the girls dance to their shitty kesha and whathave you and you can do it. are you playing for the kids to rate you? or the faculty?
the sheer number of techtools peeps who dj at school parties is beyond me. I played one 16th birthday party, I got shitfaced on vodka. Being the super cool dj I am I also let a select few of the girls also get shitfaced on my vodka and reaped the rewards. Christ knows what I played, but it was a good night!
I actually got yelled at by one of the teachers/chaperones when I DJed a high school dance. I was told to play the cha cha or something to break up the “sex scene” on the dance floor. I just laughed and kept going.
