Sequencer to use with remix decks

I have seen where you can use a sequencer (I think it was Maschine in stand alone mode) to trigger clips in the remix decks.. My understanding is that the sequencer sends a midi message that triggers the cell.

Obviously this can be done with the Twister but just wondering if anyone knows of any other hardware you can use or if there are any mappings.

I just want to consider all my options…

Thanks,
David

Correct. Virtually any hardware sequencer can handle the job, and I’m sure there are some viable software options out there. Here’s a demo of Arturia’s Beatstep Pro in action..

The Trigger Finger Pro comes to mind as a good option also.

You should be able to use any controller or combo that features a built in sequencer (be it hardware or software based), the only difference with Twister is how it handles samples so you can change the sounding samples at the twist of a knob without having to rebuild the sequence.

I wrote one using max/msp to use remix decks with my push without ableton. I haven’t had too much time to mess with it recently

You can use midi clips in Ableton to do this, too:

This technique is 10 years old now!

i made this for my ipad too !!

sorry the video explanation is in italian, but the demonstration speaks for itself
