Seriously. Nobody knows. Totally wann amap this MM1 to Serato
Serato mapping is pretty easy. This vid should give you a lead:
I know how to midi map basic controls in serato. Nowhere is it listed how to map the mixer in serato DJ (EQ’s, faders, and crossfader) as they appear nowhere on the screen… ever.
I contacted both Behringer and Serato. Behringer’s response was to contact Serato. Serato’s response was “Why do you need to do this?” Really Serato? You lack that much creativity that you cannot understand why someone would want to customize their modular setup. Behringer is just reatrded making a customer do the legwork for them.
(As a customer service manager, if I were to respond to a guest like this, I would lose my job)
So…I kind of ignored this thread at first in the hope that someone else had an answer. My question is…what are you actually using that unlocks SDJ?
My understanding is that the MM-1 isn’t a “SDJ enabled/ready” device by itself, so you’re using something else…and that if you want mixer control, you have to use something made to work that with with SDJ.
Basically, I don’t see how it works at all…but I could be wrong. It might just plain not work.
I own both a DDJ SX and WeGo. For smaller gigs, I use the wego, but constantly switching between A/C and B/D to use the mixer is a paint in the ass.The Wego required the 90 dollar license.
okay, it makes complete sense why you’d want to do that, then. But, I don’t think it’s possible to do that.
Which is super ghey because I paid 90 bucks specifically to use serato DJ with the wego and I cant do shit with it. I have an SX already too. Serato is total shit.
I wouldn’t call it total shit, but yeah…junk like this is one of the reasons I switched to Traktor a while ago. I still prefer serato’s UI, but I don’t care enough to deal with their issues. Traktor’s problems are a lot more manageable.
Maybe I’ll revisit that decision if Bridge ever comes to SDJ. But probably not.
