Skrillex made a surprise appearance this morning & I witnessed him do the unthinkable

You can’t do Calculus without a base in Algebra, and you can certainly produce without knowing how to transition from Deep House to House.

i hear ya man…

they only way they are related is that you know what moves you, and what sounds good to your ear…

..Would I get cussed out if I said I like Skrillex lol

Yeah I was thinking in pic 2 … ! the woman on the left stage, WTF? and then I was even more put off by the REVERSE hyper on the right stage… Backwards hat guy. If your on MY STAGE your job is to help hype the crowd, NOT HYPE ME! Turn around, your facing the wrong direction! That is one of my biggest pet peeves, o and liquid around my gear.

I have a friend that shows up to my gigs on occasion, wants to hang in the booth - then gets in my face with the HYPE FINGER as I call it. Hell no, I kick him out of the booth every time he does it. Something about a finger in my face when I’m trying to work… Now if he was facing the crowd doing it, well, he’s got it right twice in 7 years.

Yeah, that guy TAKING A PICTURE, I wish he was dead.

Never mind that …

Two guys facing the stage appear to be waving the girl on the left’s tampons in their hands.

You mean red shirt in the booth? Yeah, HIM TOO> I can’t tell you how many times people have hung one to get a pic and touched a piece of gear and either sent a wave of silence over the crowd or another effect, tempo etc… If they’re in one of the booths I’m working. I tell them before hand, “PICS? No problem… ask me to turn around or wait til I ask. Matter of fact, LEts all get a pic right now! Please don’t hang over the gear.”

hahaha COLORS! most of the local clubs don’t allow foreign objects in the venues. Unless its a special occasion

I dunno about this one… I have a linear algebra exam tomorrow, and I’d take calculus over it any day.

But I think they’re different beasts, DJing requires a lot of quick, on your feet thinking, while production is more relaxed and thought out over a long period of time.

I believe this would hold if you stopped your track during a track to think “what am I going to play next?”

THIS. so so true.

no it’s not…

so, the guy can dj huh ..

/pointless hate, jealousy

personally I’m happy for the guy. I feel peoples animosity is unfounded, the crowd likes what he puts out, thats all that matters. This isn’t a game, there is no winner, its all about the fans/crown and how we move them through the night.

Really I didn’t want to get into a debate over this because of all the controversy around him. But I try to not knock successful people. They are doing something that some like and some don’t.

Wish there was a video of him so i can hear if he can beatmatch haha…knowing his crowds I doubt they would notice.

+1, Lolxxxxx:smiley::smiley::smiley:

Keithace is right. NOTHING is hard to do. Some things are fucking hard to LEARN - but you put in the time, and understand that it won’t happen overnight, and you learn how to do it. And you keep on learning. Then you realise how crap you WERE. Then you keep learning, and get better. Then you realise how crap you WERE.

This. Algebra and Calculus are very different beasts. I got 8% for my first semester uni linear algebra exam, and 86% for calculus.

So, I’m a fantastic producer?

Hark at you lot, having a go at the stage birds looks.. What, with your fine selection of model girlfriends and wifes?

Maybe it’s time to progress from Miss Lefty and her sister, Righty, eh chaps?

Amen.

And Skygear, there are TWO people ON STAGE [not ‘in the booth’] taking pictures. The guy with the backwards hat is clearly holding a camera, not ‘hyping’ skrillex.

Dont ruin it for him by letting the facts get in the way…
