I have had it!
everytime I wanna do a practice run and try traktor with my 2 x1’s and a djm 900 there is something!
and I am wasting the little time I have with searching the net looking for answers and trying to get it to work instead of playing music.
I wanna use traktor I do, but every time it lets me down. sorry guys, if it work its awesome but I have had enough.
I am sticking to cdj’s. and I am gonna find another way of making my sets more interesting then just mixing tracks on a cdj.
Absolutely true.
This is absoluteley useless.
But i gues frustration got the better of me.
And learning traktor is not the point. I found more people that had the same problem after an osx update.
The djm 900 driver just does not work for some reason.
Sorry for my useles rant. This tread wil be deleted.
I use my pair of X1mk2 and DJM850/900NXS/900NXS2 mixers every week at my gigs for 4 to 6 hours each so I can vouch that Traktor is not broken and the Pioneer drivers work great … With my combination of OS X and Traktor.
As mentioned above, we are happy to help here but you’ll need to give us more info regarding your Mac model, version of OS X and version of Traktor.
oke here we go.
I am on a macbook pro 2.9GHz i7 8gb ram
osx 10.9.5
traktor 2.6.6.
this has nothing to do with the x1’s, they work fine.
I have used de pioneer usb audio driver with traktor before without problems with the djm900 nexus.
bur for some reason it stopped working. well.. no, it works fine with other app’s ableton, reason, all see the djm’s 8 in and outs.
even after downloading the newest driver from the pioneer site (just to make sure) everything worked fine, except in traktor.
traktor see’s the djm900 but I can only select output 1 and 2.
wile it should have 8 to choose from.
ah! yes
sorry, to me thats obvious, but to be precise.
I use 4 decks in traktor each deck sends a stereo out to the 4 channels of the djm900. (external mixer mode)
like I said, I have used this in the past and in a club its plug and play, I don’t own a djm900 but they are evereywere , so I bring my macbook an two x1’s and I’m off!
Have you tried updating to 2.6.8? Many agree that is the most stable version of traktor. I’m still running 2.6.8 but I run on PC so I’m not sure if the same probs exist between PC and Mac…
