Soundcard questions

Hey, i’m looking to get a cheap-ish soundcard for Cueing tracks since I can’t get the one in my controller to work.
and i’m wondering if something like a Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 USB Sound Card would work well for that?
here’s a link: http://us.store.creative.com/Creative-Sound-Blaster-XFi-Surround-5.1/M/B0044DEDCA.htm
I found a place in my city i can buy it for $40.

I’m also considering the Behringer UCA202, but from what i’ve read from some sites is that you can’t cue tracks with it, you can only listen to the live output. is that true?

If anyone could help me out that would be great.
Thanks

used Audio2DJ go go

Lot of people on this forum swear by the A2dj, and I would have to agree with them on the grounds that all Native Instruments cards are built like TANKS. Getting one used should be no problem, especially on the Buy and Sell boards, and it’ll most likely be in the same condition it was in when it was removed from the box, for the simple reason of how solid these things are!

I can’t think of anything that competes with the $40 price point, but I’ll champion the Audio 2 as well…they’re nice for what they are…not high-end by any stretch of the immagination…but they’ll do nicely for any DJ set.

What controller do you have?

oops, looks like we missed one boys!

I’m using a Vestax Spin, but i couldn’t get the soundcard to work for cueing
i’ve heard Audio 2 DJ is good, but i can’t find anyone selling it that isn’t for over $100.. which isn’t really a great deal. that’s almost the price of a new one.

But i suppose i could wait til someone’s selling one for cheaper

let’s try and work out your spin problem, i replied to your older thread.
