Spankers - Everyone's a DJ

Spankers - Everyone’s a DJ

hehehe…

Well, the video is, well…um…ok.

But the song is fun and a sign of the times???

Lmfao

whilst respecting it’s place and also it’s opportunity to “have a go” in the industry/market. All I can say on this is, sir this is utter shite, of the highest accord. All it’s got is a very recognizable (stolen) electro bassline with a little flex time applied, none music tallent vocals and a poorly done comic video. The aim is clear. MTV and a crowd only requiring repetitive musical hooks

Song sounds like “Federico Franchi - Cream” brough to 2011 masses. All it’s missing is Lil John screaming as usual and you got yourself the same abused banger formula.

we definately need a like button!

Sounds like most of the people that go to mainstream clubs.

LeeZer said it all. sad sad sad

agreed it is utter shite - but it made me chuckle and i don’t suppose it was ever trying to be a serious track…

tattoooed bird @ 4.35 is at stunner. Just sayin.

Isn’t that what 95% (or more) of EDM is?

I wasn’t asking for a critique of the video or the song, but its message, which everyone seems to have missed.

Isn’t everyone a DJ nowadays?:stuck_out_tongue:

nope

Ok, reading this

it looks like what one thinks is a hook, could be another’s boredom.

Why has everybody jumped on this song to lament on the state of EDM and the DJ scene? Keep doing what you do in the way you love to do it. If you’re here in five years great, if not I hope you had fun.

Exactly. I think the song is fun and it made me laugh. That my friends, even if it is a crappy video and the song is not the best, is entertainment, which is the point of being a DJ too. Isn’t it? To entertain your crowd with music they can dance to.

I’ve read several threads here and in other dj forums about the topic of, “There are too many people who think they are DJs, but aren’t.” There is even a thread of “Oh my god, Paris Hilton wants to be a DJ”. So this is also why I asked the question, “does the song echo a sign of the times?”

I didn’t really want any answers. I just thought it somehow fits to some of the other stuff some people hype on. In the end Chris is right.

Peace!
