Stepped faders on a Launchpad in Traktor help needed

Hello everyone!
I have a S4 MK2 but wanted more buttons to play with the remix decks so I’m now mapping my launchpad mk2 to my remix decks, C & D. I want to be able to hold a modifier and have 8 stepped volume faders for the different slots. I’ve accomplished that, but I do not know how to get te light feedback working for those different volume steps. I want it so if the volume is on 4/8, there are 4 lights on. If the volume is on 3/8, there are 3 lights on and so on. Can anybody help me with this?

What version Traktor?

Traktor 2.10.1

That kind of feature involves some modifier use:

That does work for a deck, but is there a way to do this for every individual slot like on the F1? And if possible also on two remix decks every slot? There are only eight modifiers so is there another way of doing it?

Sure thing mate - you have the concept right there, just recreate the whole thing by using Slot Volume Adjust outputs. Those are located here: Add Out > Deck Common > Submix

Okay thanks! I can now do this for one deck. But I only have seven modifiers left, because I need one to transition to different pages (overview of the slots and the overview of the volumes) so does this make it impossible to have two decks (Assuming you need eight modifiers for two decks)?

No Problem  You can always add new generic midi mapping device which offers you another set of eight modifiers

Thanks bro! This helps a lot!

Anytimes!

Firstly, I have successfully mapped the faders and Second, I have another question for you. My setup right now is the launchpad in two parts. The left side for deck C and the right side for D. Each have four slots with each six cells. On the row on the right of the launchpad I have my modifier 1 to value 1 holder to get to the volume slider page. And the slots overview is on modifier 1 = 0. Now I want to add a second layer of extra cells (7-12) for each deck. I’ve done that with a toggle switch modifier, but after every time I hold the m1=1 button, it jumps back to m=0, even when I was on the second layer m=3. How can I prevent that from happening?

Use the “Sample Page” modifier instead of the actual 1-8 modifier. Think that might work?

That doesn’t change the use of the buttons on my launchpad does it? I mapped each cell individually to a button. Sample page only shows the other pages in the program doesn’t it? Or did I accidentally mapped all the cells wrong

There is sample page command which does only let you switch to different pages of samples, but there is also the “Sample Page Selector” modifier condition that allows you to trigger and display different sample pages trough one set of pads on your controller.

This is my main page layout right now. You can see deck C with four slots and six cells per slot and two rows below with the stop slot and mute slot options. My idea is to be able to push a button and change cell row 1-6 to 7-12. Can you explain how I should set it up?

Oh, in that case please ignore the sample page modifier I suggested earlier. Instead you could combine a secondary modifier.

Keep your toggle type modifier’s value for one of your mod condition slots and add your hold type modifier’s value as a secondary modifier condition. This way your first condition would track the sample triggers and your other modifier condition will take care of cell/fader switch.
