Ok so this is the official thread for train 2. 4 dj’s, 30 mins each, you know the deal.

Starting work on this one as of… today. I’ll try being less housey and more technoey than last time.

right, I got dropbox installed, seems better than mixcloud as capacity is 2Gb 
What’s the standard for passing the mix on, do we mix it in wav, bounce it to 320kbps mp3 and then pass it on or does it do the whole round as wav?
First mixtrain for me, you might have noticed! 
best results seem to be wav or flac and the last DJ converts the whole thing to 320 when he’s done.
^ got it. Been working on my “mastering” skills too. Will convert full mix.
Also, I’ll post my tracklist depending on what you guys play and were the mix goes by the time it gets to me.
Yeah wav for me all the way. You ok with mastering the completed mix then Haze? My mastering skills are below par.
Yep. Been working on those skills as they are pretty new to me, but at a minimum I’m good enough to run it thru a preset that will normalize the final product

Prep list done : my part will be a housey opening and will most likely clock a little under 30 minutes.
If I can warmup appropriately/just give up and use sync instead of TTs I should have this recorded and uploaded to Dropbox on tuesday night (euro time).

Righto, had some glitches and too many mistakes when recording. Given that I’ve been up since 5am, I’ll call it a day and just sync my way through it tomorrow or Thursday.

Today is one of those off days - and I’m not including the setlist, which I find myself questioning more and more. Hopefully I can come up with something else tomorrow (before going to see DJ Sneak play, woo yay).
If not, I’ll skip my turn to play a later spot, as I’m more comfortable with something more techno, which it should get. Or just get someone from the reserve list.
