I’ll congratulate you when you actually hit 1k 'hoffster
This sounds like an interesting premise for an Onion article.
A headline something like:
Brazilian man peeved by lack of fanfare for online post count
Migel Rubio, AKA Spider Monkey, is disappointed after his 1000th post to an online poker forum was met with silence and general disinterest. Rubio achieved his milestone at approximately 0230 AM GMT in response to another forum member (Sally Skidmark) in an argument regarding proper card shuffling etiquette. After he hit the “Submit” button on his wonderfully articulated rebuttal…nothing really happened.
“I wasn’t expecting fireworks or anything like that, but a cookie would have been nice.” says Rubio.
The following afternoon Rubio posted news of his achievement in a General Discussion area of the forum and was met with a modicum of applause. Rubio lamented, “I feel kind of [sic] cheated. I mean, most of the people congratulating me were below 1000 posts and were just perfunctorily adding to their own post count.”
Rubio says that he will continue to frequent the site and plans to send out a proper notice via his Facebook blog when he nears 5000 posts.
+1 post for me
That’s proper funny space monkey, you should actually submit that to onion.

And now a local demotivator in the subject:
I’m looking forward to a great 1000th post.
I posted some statistics and pictures in mine:
Statistics:
I wrote posts in 337 different threads and created 87 threads
Most replied to threads:
the MFC-thread
the thread covering Justice performing without the USB-cable plugged in
the worst DMC-routines
People seem to like seeing others fail
Fun facts:
My first post was on cleaning the VCI-100 with a high-pressure water blaster
Mr. Panda had the initial idea to start a Midi-Fight-Club
Tekki and I are not gay. We both got girls, hot ones

DUDE…you SUCH a stats nerd!
My mates dad (Civil Engineering professor) has been taking readings of his pools temp and PH, twice a day for the last 30 years. No lies!
Has a log book and everything!
WHY?..he enjoys it!

Yeah, I like stats. That’s why I’m still mining Bitcoins.
Nicholas Felton creates a report of everything he did every year. He even created an iPhone app which helps collecting data.
Here’s an example-page:
You can find it here: http://feltron.com/
Also I’m still the guy behind project-clix.com . A project used to determine how many mouse-clicks you do.

Sweet!
Thats real interesting!
We also use the clicks thing in our email branding service. Marketing…seeing how many people click on a link in your branding etc…
Nice one!

I also do love stats and metrics.
I’m a application performance analyst, I do graphs of metrics all the time at work. Look at this example:
Sick job, I love it
