Thinking of buying a new mixer help please.

I am thinking of buying a new mixer and have narrowed it down to a couple options. If i had unlimited money i would get a djm-800 might be able to get enough but am not looking hopeful.

So the short list is

DJM 400, Ecler evo 4, DJM 700, Korg zero 4, Behringer ddm 4000.

If i am getting a 4 channel i want midi as i only really mix 2 decks.
Looking at the DJM-400 atm cause they are cheap but still deciding whether i need 4 channel 2 for mixing 2 for midi.

I am in a bind and dont want to spend heaps and be disappointed.

I a running 2x stanton st-150’s and a shitty behringer djx 700.

Anyone have any of these mixers can give feedback.

Out of the options on your short list, id recommend the Evo4. It has a
24/96 resolution sound card, has midi for all four channels, additoinal
effects for both sides of the board, and a competitive price for what
it offers. Another possibility is to look at the denon dn-x1700. It also
supports midi, has independant efx array, and is supossedly the only
mixer that supports 32-Bit DAC output. The djm400, while a good lil
mixer, is only 2channels, and does not have midi. The Korg zero4 has
dodgy sound. The ddm 4000 is a cheap pio knockoff that imho is not
really worth the investment.

Whatever you decide, just be sure to look at what best serves your needs.
Good luck.

ill shoot my opinion on this one but wont make any suggestions. although i will start with a midi controller, while building my real equipment i considered the first mixer i will own will be a djm700 cause price of $900 is good when compared to others. and it will help me to familiarized with the next level mixer which will be the djm 800 of $1500ish simply because i’m positive that 98% of 700 clubs in new york will have it.

thankyou for your help. On a local dance music forum i asked the same question and the djm 909 popped up check it out looks nice. Kinda narrowing down to 909, evo 4 or djm 700

not really sure how many clubs carry djm700. but you will find lots of clubs in australia that have the djm800. but some clubs might be ok/cool with if you bring your own mixer, where some clubs might just want you to strictly use their equipment. but yeah choose wisely m8

you an Ausie?

hispanic from new york ;p why

Oh, no, I thought you were saying alot of clubs in australia have the 800… nm, must have read that wrong.

yeah i did say that. im assuming so just cause its like one of the latest best mixers from pioneer so its like one out of 5-7 mixers that a club would carry. but it’ll all depend.

Have you looked at any of the Allen and Heath mixers, to mee they seem reasonably priced for what you’re getting?

Buy used.:sunglasses: Check the corners to see if they’re banged up, check the wear on the faders, etc…

You’re going to get more bang for your buck that way. I got a mint xone92 for half the price.

Korgs are, from what I hear, very fragile & not good if you’re going to take 'em out on the road…
