Timecode hack Traktor none coded audio card

Timecode hack Traktor none coded audio card

I have used the info that Dj TechTools has covered a while back on how to edit Traktor code to run timecode, I managed to do this for my A&H DB4 which has worked with no glitches.

I’m now looking to upgrade to a model one my question is: is it possible to use this hack for a none coded sound card which would not be written in Traktor code I.e Pioneer, Allen & Heath.

The reason I ask this is it seems that NI has discussed the audio 10 even though it’s still possible to buy the card I’m sure they will stop making drivers as they did for the audio 8 which I own.

It would be great to buy a sound card that would complement the mixer and be able to use timecode.

Has anyone been able to do this Ona Mac I’m running OS Sierra with MacBook Pro retina 2015. And very competent with Traktor as I’ve used it since it’s been out.

You could get the Denon DJ DS1 or the Pioneer DJ Interface2 working with Traktor instead. Any audio interface with phono preamps would work.

Indeed both cards would would

both cards would work but they only have 4in 4out I should have said the minimum I need is 8in 8 out as I use a combination of CDJ’s and D2 controllers with four decks. and one preview deck.

Also both companies of cards you described I think are both already written in to program data, my question was could the program data be rewritten with a card which wasn’t written into the original data.

very kind for you reply though thanks.

Would you consider dropping DVS or using HID mdoe of modern CDJs instead?

DVS in Traktor is really the problem. If you’re not using DVS, you could use a Rane SL4 or any of several production oriented sound cards (like the Focusrite Scarlett 18i20).

AFAIK, there is no way to use DVS and the D2s unless you’re using one of the traktor certified mixers or a sound card with the hack.
