Been looking at brand new audio 6 and they all come with the software/timecode setup don’t they? Didn’t realise that. I only need to upgrade from TP but guessing you can’t do that this way. Looks like I’ll have to sell my TP license once I’ve got this.
Thanks for the help fellas. I know I could have just had a look what I needed when I get everything, but wanted to order it all at the same time so I can get playing on them asap!
Brand new’s certainly going to be the easiest way to get your sound card and software sorted.
if you buy the audio 6 scratch package it comes with the timecodes and tsp2. what did you buy that got you tsp? did you have an audio 4/8?
i had tsp with my a8 and they offered a short term upgrade for $40 to tsp2 just before 2.5 came out. that deal has been over for a while and i don’t see any other way to do it. seems kind of odd they won’t let you do a software only upgrade with the older cards and tsp.
It’ll make a good decoration for your home dj booth, but will not see much use on the decks if you buy TSP new - new licenses don’t work with the old timecode media. “Old” (issued pre TSP 2.1 or thereabouts, if memory serves) licenses enable both.
Sorry, I edited it before it was too late. I meant TP which came with my S2. I’ll have to sell that license once I get TSP with the A6 because I’m guessing you can’t do the upgrade and get A6?
