Total Beginner Help!

Hey Everyone.

My Name is Matt and I want to become a DJ. I love any and all kinds of music, specifically House, Dubstep and Electro, and recently I have really wanted to become a DJ.

I have decided to get a Macbook Pro and the NI Kontrol s2 with Traktor.

I have absolutely no Experience so i have a few questions:

  1. Where is the best place to start with DJ’ing
  2. What are some good Monitors for just home/bedroom use
  3. What are some good Headphones

I only have a small budget as im young, but any and all advice will help!

Welcome to DJTT. You’re new to the forum so I’m not going to start flaming you, but suffice it to say that you will find most of the answers to your questions by using the search function.

For example:

There is a huge wealth of knowledge amongst the members of this forum but it is not fair to expect someone to take the time to write you out a beginners’ guide to DJing when there’s so much advice already out there. Use the forum search button, google, youtube etc and when you have a specific question that you can’t find the answer to, start a thread on here.
