I was upgraded my TSP from 2.0.3 to 2.1.2 . And then couple days later, i have a gig and want to try my new updates .( im using audio4 soundcard )
But , when i was played my tracks , i realize that the output sounds weird to me … doesn’t sounds exactly the same as my 2.0.3 ..
and yesterday , i tried to compare those 2.1.2 and 2.0.3 (using 2 macs running both version , 2 audio4 , same setting(EQ level,master output) , same tracks) on DJM 800.
i set the EQ to default on both channel on the mixer ( TSP 2.1.2 on channel 1 , 2.0.3 on channel 2) . Started to play both tracks , and i was shocked with the result !! I have to turn the EQ gain volume on channel 1 ( about 2 o’clock ) to have the same output on both channels, but it still sounds weird ( not bangin as well )
Then i have to downgrade my TSP to 2.0.3 because of the sound quality
I wish NI can solve this problems , because i really love the new features on 2.1.2 ..
It’s the new Headroom feature in the prefs, and no, it doesn’t alter sound quality as such, but the volume does change. The intention is to make sound quality better by making it harder to hit the limiter on the master output.
