traktor 2.5, kontrol s2, microphone line through, recording mic

Hey ladies and gentlemen, I want to use my mic to record freestyles and audio drops and record performances in traktor 2.5 using a kontrol s2. There are a couple vids out there that say to use your “c” or “d” deck as a line through and to enable the mic in preferences “internal routing” though when I try to enable it the only option in the dialog box is “not connected”… any help with this would be awesome!!

The S2’s soundcard does not support this. It only functions as Mic Thru and you will not capture anything with the regular or loop recorders. You could try using your computers factory “Mic-In” by using Asio4All.

Thanks for the tip, I will check it out… I talked to the Tech Guys at Native Inst. and they said it would work with the S4 but not the S2… such a bummer!!
