Traktor and CDJ 2000s

Traktor and CDJ 2000s

Hi Guys, long time member, haven’t been around much but was looking for a hand with something.

My buddy has a set of CDJ 2000s and a DJM 900SRT that I was attempting to link them by HID to Traktor (2.6.5 on a 2011 Macbook with a 250 SSD and 8gb of ram on OS Mavericks). I am able to get an HID link but sound only comes out of one of the CDJs, all output routings look to be just as in the video and i have control over the decks but the master is coming out of just B.

Did I not aggregate the sound card correctly? any ideas?

Thanks! and its good to be back!

Is there a reason why you’re not using the mixer’s sound interface?

does the SRT support traktor? I read it didnt without another audio card which is why I am trying to use the 2000’s as soundcards.

Every sound interface can work with Traktor. But only Traktor certified interfaces can work with timecode.

So youre saying to use the SRT as the soundcard but still link the 2000s to traktor and run them HID as controllers? Ill give it a shot.

Edit: also the firmware was not up to date on his 2000s so we updated that and will see in a bit when I try it again.

Yes this is how I would route the audio. Plug in the 2 CDJs via a USB hub [HID mode], and use the mixer as the soundcard for Traktor. Much easier than aggregating the CDJ soundcard. :sunglasses:

Maybe you did aggregate wrong, just download the Pioneer’s aggregator tool and test it, it may work. It’s a ready-to-go aggregator device.
