Traktor Mapping for Denon MC 6000 mk2

Hi stewe,

I have tested your last edit. when i press censor button 1-4 cues are not available until i press censor button again. But about LED, there is no change.

Do not know, the mappings seems to be fine… Not much else I could do to help you.

So what should happen to cue buttons when i press censor button according to your latest edit? Should the cue buttons seem dimmer?

I haven’t touched the cue button mappings jet - just wanted to make sure that CENSOR buttons are properly armed with modifiers before going any further with cues.

According to provided Denon mapping the flux mods was already mapped to CENSOR button which appears to be assigned with CC.74 (all four decks via Ch.1 to Ch.4) and CC.75 which is probably also a CENSOR button message but hardcoded in the firmware as the CENSOR SHIFT layer.

What I did was assign CC.74 to deck AC side and CC.75 to deck BD side of the controller so ether way the Modifier one side should be working I would know what to add/change in edit #5.

So yes modifier works. Pressing censor button modifies 1-4 hot cue set to a new set. I was thinking that the leds of hot cues should go dimmer. I think if you add hot cue mappings that will be ok.

I’m sure that modifier works. I was trying to get the LED output to work.
It’s strange that you said that the Flux (CENSOR+SHIFT) is good but the same MIDI note without holding shift doesn’t work.

As i said i thought u ask me if the leds go dimmer or not? It was a misunderstanding. Sorry for that

Ahhh, There seems to be some LED feedback stuff natively controlled by Traktor this is why flux led out is wotking but the modifier didn’t… I’ve added cues 5-8 but the feedback can’t be remapped unfortunatelly.

I tested it. Hot cues 5-8 works perfectly without their dimmer led feature. So do you tell it is impossible to manage them to go dimmer when 5-8 hot cues are toggled?

Nope. The LED’s can’t be remapped. The controller is only accepting CC.74 and CC.75 from the MIDI IN… From there Traktor is programmed to pick up those two signals and port them to the controller output for deck transport and FX buttons.

it is a sad truth.

If so, first please cancel censor button’s red led when slip mode (shift+ censor) is activated. Then map censor buttons red led when 5-8 hot cues are toggled. So that i can notice 5-8 cues are activated.

Hi stewe,

I also noticed that when 5-8 cues are toggled, filters don’t work for decks. Can u fix it? Also it would be great if u can make the mapping as i told above.

Thanks in advance

I fixed for decks A and B. It seems that CD filters were already working. Let me know what you find.

The LED’s aren’t designed to be remapped unfortunatelly.. Or I might be missing something because I’m not familiar with MC 6000 mk2.

Well done Stewe. Thank you. The filter problem is fixed. Now i am going to contact denon support and native instruments support to learn if led mapping for mc 6000 mk2 in traktor is possible or not. Then i am going to share with you what they told me.

Sounds good!

Hello Stewe,

I have contacted with NI and Denon Support and both told me that leds of hotcues were not mapplable because of limitation of the controller. So we cant map leds of hotcues. But i need to be aware which hot cues set is active. Please recommend me something to do that.
As you remember “censor” button was originally mapped for flux mode with a red led activated when pressed on. You mapped “censor” button without red led to toggle between hotcue sets. You also mapped “shift+censor” button for flux mode with a red led activated when pressed on.
I think flux mode activation can be tracked from traktor software but active hot cue set should be seen from controller. So can you map the red led of “censor button” to glow red when 5-8 hot cues set are toggled?

and i need one last mapping. you mapped pitch bend buttons to beatjump by 8 beats. Now i need “shift + pitchbend buttons” to beatjump by 1 beat. Because i want to correct my mistake easily if i start the second track late/early by 1 beat.

Thanks in advance

This is not just hotcues mate. The censor LED’s are also not meant to be re-mappable.
Did you send them the link to this thread?

I can add another set of beatjumps though.

Done!

As for the hotcue mode indicator, we can use some buttons in the GUI that you don’t use in your mixing. Like the Loop recorder D/W 0% can be set 1-4 and 100% can be your other set 5-8 and the recording size metter can be used as a display for your other deck…

Ideally, I’d go with the FX Unit On buttons for 3 and 4 if you don’t use this units.
