TRAKTOR Midi Control Question(s)

Has anyone successfully implemented the ‘Freeze Slice Size Adjust’ control? It seems to do nothing at all. Just for clarification, i don’t mean the ‘Freeze Slice Count Adjust’ control. :confused:

Nada. I also ended up using the “Loop Size Adjust” in ma mapping.

‘Slot Retrigger’ vs. 'Slot Retrigger Play

Here is another one if you have the time:

Is there any meaningful difference between the commands ‘Slot Retrigger’ and ‘Slot Retrigger Play’?

I Tested so far with Loop/On-Shot samples, PunchMode (on/off), AutoplayWithSampleTrigger(On/Off), to no avail. :expressionless:

Slot Retrigger: Retriggers playback of the loaded sample
Slot Retriever Play: Start/Stops/Retriggers playback of the loaded sample

First of all thank you for trying to help me out. :slight_smile:

Sadly they both do the following:

  • Trigger/Start (if sample is stopped)
  • Retrigger (if sample is playing)

If Interaction Mode is Hold (1 pressed, 0 released) they do it every time, otherwise [Toggle or Direct] only when Value is set from 0 to 1.

What are the circumstances under which ‘Slot Retrigger Play’ actually stops a track?

Persistence I say. :slight_smile:

Active Loop On = Yes (Chopping up a Loop into Slices aka ‘Slice Mode’)

  • Freeze Slice Count Adjust: Number of Slices (1-16)
  • Loop Size Selector / Move Loop In + Loop Out Cue: Adjust the Size of the Loop
    Combine the two to adjust the Size of each Slice.

Active Loop On = No (Chopping up a segment into Slices aka ‘Freeze Mode’)

  • Freeze Slice Count Adjust: Number of Slices (1-16)
  • Freeze Slice Size Adjust: Adjust the Size in Beats of each Slice (1/4 to 4 [i think]
    Combine the two to adjust the Size of the frozen segment.

I had to look closely for it in the 2.9 manual in the traktor dj section for iOS. ^^

Freeze slice size adjust = no change
