Traktor MIDI Mapping tricks
Hey guys I need your help im writing a book called Traktor MIDI mapping for dummys. I am looking for all of your MIDI tricks and tips. Like getting the cross fader to act like fader start. PS thats just an example its allready in the book. Im just looking for some awsome tricks/hacks. The book I have writen is easy to follow and is going to cover everything there is to know about MIDI mapping in traktor

Well, you should talk about how to:
set up the filter knobs properly with fw1.3
set up and use a shift button
use a toggle button to use the jogwheels to scroll through the tree and list and load tracks
advanced delay/freeze trick
fader fx - separate buttons to activate fader fx on either deck
shift+upfader for highpass filter
different transport section arrangements and the advantages and disadvantages of each (i.e. play/cup/loop in/loop out vs sync/drop/pause/play vs play/cue/drop/fx shift)
different ways to do deck c/d control
using the beatslicer with button presets for creative hotfills
fixing the ramp up problem
things to use with those damn tiny little black knobs on the upper right of a vci-100
using fx banks armed with xone filters so you can fix the res problem in tsp 1.2.1
using buttons to activate fx vs using the knob to simultaneously control and activate the fx
different loop options - loop size /2 (shift for *2) like in the djtt tsi, knobs for loop size, separate buttons, etc.
remove the faceplate on a vci-100 and apply masking tape and sharpie
smart button to set a deck for mic input - change input source, turn gain up, apply downpitching, distortion, and delay

Yea I know there is a traktor bible. However this doesnt go into detail with MIDI mapping. Also im not looking at a particular controller. Im rerly looking at building up multiple MIDI functions to create new features. Trust me all the basics are covered in great detail so dont worry about that. Im looking for people who have got idea’s on smart knobs making them even cleverer

I think this is a good idea and I wish you the best of luck. I havent seen the traktor bible yet so I dont really know what your up against. I have been recording videos everytime i figure something out and then putting them on youtube and my blog to help out other people.
