Traktor: Past versions…
Was just wondering those of you that use Traktor, how many of the past versions/updates do you keep on your laptop? i was looking at what i have since i updated this week to 2.6.1 and i’ve still got like the S4 software that came with the S4, then everything from 2.0.3 upwards to present. Is it worth keeping them all? cant say i’ve ever had any problems each time i’ve updated it.
Can always move them to an external drive for storage
I still have 2.1-2.6.1. I have no idea why, but I do.
I have a working version of EVERY single one since Traktor DJ 1.
T1, T2 and T3 on iBook. T3, TS, and TPRO on MBP and TSP1, S4, TSP2 on MBP
I also have no idea why.
3.4, 1.2.7. 2.0.3, 2.5.1, 2.6.1
(currently using 2.5.1)
i seem to even hoard my software as i do with all the shite we have accumulated over the past 8 years that fills almost 2 spare bedrooms haha
Still have those since TSP 1, not sure either why, however since a couple of update, I like to have a trusty version lying 'round. If something go wrong, just launch my “beloved” 2.0.3 and I’m good to go.
Ive been looking again at my native instruments folder and its taking up almost 40gb of space
now, what versions would you recommened to keep? just udated it to the latest 2.6.5 is it? how many would you keep? or should i just transfer them all to an external hd? would that work? then id have them if i ever needed them (which to be honest i dont think i will)
And Traktor Demo?
