Traktor Pro, Kontrol X1 questions with another Midi controller
I have Traktor Pro and the Kontrol X1. Im liking the fact I can run 4 decks but do Not like that I cant control the Volume Faders ,or the Low, Mid, high, knobs. My question is…
Is there a Mixer that is Midi assignable that I can control after I map it or is my best beat is to buy a Xone 1D or 2D?
I do not plan on ever having time coded records or cds.
Not looking for anything that is completely made out of plastic. I travel alot and will be using what ever midi controller I buy alot. I just looked on Ebay and found a Xone 1D for $200 shipped new. i might make the plunge and just but it now.
That uc-33e is nice. Never have seen one. Like I said before Im new to the Digital age. Ive been mixing records and cds for 10 years. Looks like the doors just open to a new beginning for me. Thanks for all the info guys. But I think Im going to buy the Allen Heath Xone 1d
I am thinking the new version of the Faderfox DJ3… really portable -
If you look at the layout of the 1D its not really ideal to use as a mixer.. theres only 2 of the same dials above each fader so your either going to miss out low, mid or high
can the audio to the Denon be sent from traktor via USB like the Xone:4D?
I imagine so but Denon’s site is down atm…thinking of selling my 92 and Audio8 if this is the case.
Well I mapped everything myself yesterday and today. I have the Kontrol X1 running effects for 4 decks ONLY. My Xone 1D is running 4 decks with volume faders, loops, bass, high knobs (NO MIDs still working on that) Folder search, Song search, cue, play, sync , and head phone cues. Going to take a trial and era run tonight to see how everything works in my favor. If not I will be back at mapping tomorrow.
I feel 100% better knowing I mapped these units myself. This was my first time to ever do anything like this before. Ive only owned the X1 for 1 month and the 1D for 2 days. Now Im not going to get ahead of myself at all. But I do plan on adding more midi controllers for other projects. Thanks for all the helpful people and info on DJTT.
