traktor question…YESS I’ve tried searching

Whats up people new to the forum..

Heres the deal I have traktor pro,ddm4000,cheap soundcard and kontrol x1 the x1 one works fines with traktor but both deck A and B are running to one channel I’ve seen plenty of videos to figure out the output settings but mine does not seem to have the same options as them. My outputs only say

1.Digital out L
2.Digital out R
3.Speaker out L
4.Speaker out R

I have it on external mode and chose the right soundcard idk what to do and I’ve been searching but cant seem to get it righ. Thanks you guys

The outputs are a function of the sound interface that Traktor is using. What is the sound interface that you have?

Missing the most important part of the equation… What brand and model sound card do you have?

Dang I didn’t think sound card were/are important otherwise I wouldnt have skimped out on one lol it’s this one http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41ZDs5r70BL._SX425_.jpg

Can you take a screen shot of your settings?

It looks like you don’t actually have your USB sound card selected as your output device - rather, Traktor is trying to use your built-in soundcard. You should have a pull-down list, and you should select your “Mr. DJ” soundcard. That will give you the right options under the Channels.

If you’re still having issues: Can you please post a link to the technical details of the soundcard or to it’s product page?

@casiokid91

go to preferences → audio setup: select the ADiO interface as your audio device
go to output routing → set it to external mode → output Deck A (1 & 2) → output Deck B (3 & 4)

i think this should work.

[/quote] if its using my computer as a soud card wouldn’t the sound be coimg out the computer?? I have my speakers connected to the mixer and its coming out through there.

did you assign the 2 channels in the output routing?

Yes but here are the options it’s goving me

So what happens when you set Deck B to “Speaker L” and “Speaker R”?

Thats the problem man idk where the sound is going cause its not going through the mixer or anywhere

It looks like you havent installed the drivers for your soundcard, or it doesnt actually support ASIO. There is very little information for it on the website.

If you install the drivers, it should appear in the list of soundcards which it currently doesnt. Try using ASIO4ALL instead, and then your routing should work.

Just did some more digging. This POS doesnt come with ASIO drivers, and you have to use ASIO4ALL, which is just a wrapper, not a true ASIO driver.

Id send it back and get something else, the amazon site has a bunch of reviews of people unable to get it to work with ASIO4All.

Thanks for the insight brotha at this point it has to be the soundcard hopefully i can at least get store credit FML haha.. What soundcard would you guys recommend without breaking the bank

Traktor Audio 2. $149

Im sure others can chip in with the name of some no-name brand that actually does have ASIO drivers.

ASIO4all will fix this problem.

Never had a shred of luck with asio4all…
