I installed traktor on my new laptop, and downloaded all my mappings etc but I have one big issue:
Whenever I set the loop size, it jumps like 8 bars.
For example, lets say I wanna loop in an incoming 4 bars, when i press the loop size increment button on my controller (denon mc3000) itll go from like selecting 1 bar to 32 bars, and if i press decrement button itll go down to like 1/4
On my old laptop it worked fine, if I press increase itll go from 1 bar to 2 bar, then 4 bars
The problem also applies when I am selecting tracks with my wheel, when i scroll down itll jump every 5 tracks
Yea, check if you have more than one mapping active for the same controller. Check the “In-Port” of each mapping you have, only the one you want to use should have the controller selected, the others should be “none”.
The loop mappings are quite a bollocks to map yourself, I had a shit time setting mine up properly. Instead of ‘jump’ to loop, I set a cue, make the cue a loop, and activate it by pressing ‘loop on’ and hitting the cue, it’s the same thing essentially, but you do use up a cue, but with 8, it’s not going to be an issue for most. When you say it goes to 1/4, consider that the command may be on ‘direct’ and with the 1/4 being selected as the direct jump when you press the command, instead of it being ‘dec’, which decreases the length of the loop.
As for jumping 5 tracks, reduce the sensitivity of the encoder, checking that ‘encoder’ is selected and not knob or button. Play with that, that takes a while to perfect. Use a modifier to scroll faster if you need to do that.
