Traktor routing: analog mixer + soundcard, what the…

hello, I searched on the group but I didn’t found any similar question, so it this!

my usual DJ booth setup is TRAKTOR X1 + analog 2 channel mixer BEHRINGER NOX202 + Traktor AUDIO 2 (old version), configured with “external mixer” use: I can see and move NOX202 faders, EQ knobs, master and so on-> PERFECT, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

I read that AUDIO 2 it’s no longer usable with MacOs SIERRA, so I didn’t updated my OS.
Is it possible to replace AUDIO 2 with the following setup?

  • USB 4-inputs/4-outputs soundcard “Behringer UMC404hd” setted as soundcard in Traktor Pro, with
“UMC INPUT 1” plugged with a 1/4 inch jack-RCA cable to “INPUT A” on external mixer NOX202 and
“UMC INPUT 2” plugged with a 1/4 inch jack-RCA cable to “INPUT B” on external mixer NOX202
and having faders and knobs still working?
obviously the “UMC OUTPUTS” used are 1-2 through the speakers

thanks a lot,
Cioppi

Let me first clarify the signal path, you seem a little confused.

Traktor decks (A+B) > audio interface outputs (4 channels [2 stereo]) > mixer inputs (1&2) > mixer processes audio (reducing 2 stereo channels down to 1) > mixer outputs (L+R) > Speaker inputs.

Output of one device goes to input of another.

A audio mixer does the mixing it does not control software, you feed in lots of channels and you get (usually) 2 out.

Theres no reason to update you OS if it breaks compatibility with you devices (i’m still on Yosemite).

Yeah - how come you can connect the A2 and the 202 fine, but the Behringer Interface seems to have you stumped?
