Traktor Scratch Pro 2 GUI question

Traktor Scratch Pro 2 GUI question

Ive seen some of the tease video’s where you can manipulate the GUI and modes ETC in traktor 2.0+.. But I have one question i need answered before I purchase..

I manually play timecode without syncing or grids etc…

Can I or Can I not hide the MASTER/SYNC stuff i dont use in 2.0??

While retaining waveforms and not in “pure” mode???

If you can ditch that stuff in the new version I will be spending my upgrade money on a serato box instead.

You mean hiding the 2 buttons?

the whole bar they are on… and all other shit around it i want pure waveforms with nothing around them (above below) like i play in serato.

If that is a deal breaker you should reconsider what is important in DJing software mate.

You can’t get rid of the buttons, if you don’t want to use sync you don’t have to because it’s a feature you can turn on or off.

I take that back, if you set the deck layout to micro it doesn’t show the master and sync buttons.

Yeah you can hide the buttons, there’s an option under global settings to do it.

just wondering-does the presence of the buttons hinder your djing in any way, or is just that you can’t stand to look at them?

It hurts his soul

i think he doesn’t want to be seen with a sync button on his screen..

chicks dont like dj’s that use sync lol

I doubt chicks even know what sync means / does.

You are wrong mate, why do you think da Holla uses Serato?

No Sync = Bitchez

TO BE CLEAR

virgins think chicks wont sleep with a guy that has sync on his screen.

Yeah it does… Traktor is not “whats hot” on the west coast… anyway I can make my traktor look more smooth like serato and reflect my stylebenefits me me by making me answer less dumb questions and minimize the stigma… til I get my Serato box.. its just life.

if you want a minimal looking dvs, just use scratch live

lol

My first reaction is screw what everyone else thinks, especially since if the people you are talking about know what sync is, they will probably think you’re using it anyway if you’re using Traktor, whether you can hide the sync button or not. If perception is that big of a deal, why not just spin vinyl or, if cost is an issue, cds?

You are correct. However, I think that if you rock a set with Traktor you can change peoples minds. If you have the floor on fire, constantly dancing, they’ll stop caring. And now with Traktor 2s colored wave forms, I think it will help you more so as well.

imo the essential view of traktor is as minimal as it gets even over serato. Sync or no sync if whats coming out of the speakers is good enough most people won’t care.
