As it says, recently bought a set of turntables and realized that traktor pro doesn’t include scratch functionality (what kind of BS is that btw? It’s terribly advertized. It says all in one but what they really mean is that you have to buy it and just use the same app ).
@davenukem And how are you magically going to “decode” the timecode ?
It’s not BS, you can’t read !
To get Scratch capability you need the software AND the hardware, either an A4/A6 = two decks, A8/A10 4 decks.
Certified mixers include X1600/X1700 from Denon etc.
Kontrol S4 or Z2 mixers …
To upgrade, open the service center, check if the serial is registered for a scratch upgrade, if not buy one from them …far easier than trying to get one that’s been registered before … (sometimes it can take ages to get NI to de-register it). Some licences are attached to Hardware upgrades too …
NI does not sale anymore. Link on NI website brings you to TSPA10 page NOW. TSPA6 is only $300 if you cannot pay all at one time use easy payment plan on Sweetwater.com or americanmusical.com
They still sell it. It recently had a name change. I called NI to order one right after Thanksgiving. it took about a week to arrive.
It had 2 time code CD’s, 2 Time code vinyls, a card with a serial number and link to download the software and some stickers.
I guess they figure most people already have Traktor Pro installed so skipped on the software CD.
I just input the CD key and My Traktor Pro switched to Trackor Scratch Pro. (it just unlocks the timecode features you already ha installed and changed the logo)
I do wish they had a software only upgrade as I have Traktor control vinyls already from my A10
