Traktor skipping…

Hey guys

I’m having a bit of a problem. Traktor 3 keeps skipping when I’m playing. I don’t think it is the drivers that i’m using or the audio card..

I’m using:

VCI-100 SE
M-Audio Fast track Pro

The laptop is a core 2, 1.66 ghz with 2gigs of ram..

Is the laptop not powerful enough? If not what would you guys recommend.

The laptop should be fast enough,
Try playing with your soundcard latency settings to see if you can get rid of the skips.

I had this problem when trying to run ALL my tracks off an external hard drive, usually if I was trying to do several things at once on the VCIse. Never had a problem with skipping when running the MP3s from my internal hard drive though, so maybe try that?

I would search NI’s forums to see if anyone else had this issue…if not, I’d post there to get some input.

Also, I would contact their tech support.

These issues need to be documented so that NI can see trends.
