TSI File protected/Red

TSI File protected/Red

Hello all.

I have moved Traktor to my offline, studio PC.

It is all activated and set up via service centre.

I have a mapping for my K2, that I would like to use on the new computer.

I have exported using Traktor’s export option, and I have also saved the file, under another name on my desktop

I have located the TSI file, and transfered it to my offline pc via a USB stick, and an ext HDD.

However the file is red, and I am being told by my offline PC that the TSI file is write protected.

I have no security on the USB or the ext HDD that would write protect the TSI file, and I know that people regular share their TSI file amongst the community, so am perplexed as to why this could be happening.

I would really appreciate any help, or suggestions.

Thanks in advance
Rich

Go to your file in windows, ***.tsi, right click on it, go to properties, is it checked as ‘read only’?

Thanks for getting back to me mate.

That was the very first thing I checked, and it hasn’t been checked as read only. Shame as that would be a nice simple answer!

Thanks
Rich

Try to Zip the file.

Zip the file? and do what with it? should I move the zipped file to the new PC?
thanks

Yup! Worth a try in my opinion.

Cool. I will do this now and let you know how I get one

Cheers

Well I tried to zip and stick it on the USB but same message :disappointed:

Yea, figured as much, no probs. Can you email it out? Or try making a copy of it and rename the copy?
