Twitter DJ

Twitter DJ

Just found that : http://m-nus.com/Twitter_DJ/
Richie’s Traktor/Twitter app is now available for every one who has a MAC

had to sticky this, cuz i know alot of dj’s are gonna want this feat. I wonder if it works with 3.4? Gotta try it! Thanks for the info.

had to unsticky because we dont want too many stickies - we already have as many as Ean/myself would like, but ill add it to the FAQ for sure

That’s brilliant! About the best use of Twitter I have heard of.

If you wouldn’t have done it, I would have B.

Twitter_DJ is cool and all, but a step closer to Big Brother, if you ask me!
It’s future plans include registering all songs played on dedicated server, as that they will be able to check up on your music and artists and all.

How great this is for producers whose songs are played, I am still opposed to central registrations(as that these kinda things are not crystal clear yet/ haven’t matured yet. )

LOL…JesC got denied! No Biggie, I was still waking up and totally forgot about FAQ!

Feel free to edit my post in the FAQ and add stuff in there anytime you see fit

Back on topic: What !? No PC version! >=(

good point tekki, though the intentions are harmless more often than not.. centralization is a risky endeavor that leaves a thin line to be crossed before the RIAA shuts down your show because they saw you just spun a whitelabel :stuck_out_tongue: yes this is quite a colorful idea but, you can’t say it isn’t possible with the technology

No one is gonna stop me from playing Noisia’s bootleg of Sweet Dreams :stuck_out_tongue:

unfortunatly no :disappointed: … they don’t even talk about it :disappointed:

also, if you don’t feel like going through shell commands to setup the icecast server (if that’s the method you’re using), i recommend Nicecast (by the same people who made audio hijack), basically a GUI interface for the icecast protocol, but with every feature you’d ever need for broadcasting. i used it for all my radio shows:

isnt it kind of pathetic that the leading company for digital DJ’s requires the services of a developer group that thinks that flash is the proper way to publish text on the web to usher them into the world of social networking with a hack? NI seriously needs to wake up!

wait.. who are you talking about? twitter dj developers, twitter, youtube, or NI? :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Twitter DJ

mainly NI. with a side jab at minus for using flash to publish text on their site.

personally i think it looks pretty clean (the minus site), but i do have gripes with flash. remember when everyone and their mom had a site programmed in complex flash? mm.. good times. :choke:
