Understanding Channel and Main Meters in S4 MK2 and Traktor Pro

I recently got the s4 mk2, read a lot about the VU meters and the interpretation in h/w and s/w on NI’s forum and the s4 manual.

Confused on which is the correct way to monitor my mixes using these meters.

Need a very simple and optimal settings advice for

  1. Limiter & Auto gain (on / off)
  2. Headroom
  3. Main level in software
