URGENT problem hooking s2/s4 into xone 22

i was trying to hook up into my friends xone 22 today through rca cables but it wasnt working on internal mixer mode. i changed to external and it worked but then the faders on my mixer didnt work anymore. how do you guys make it work?

what connects/settings/etc?

You run RCA’s form the master out to one of the mixers line in’s, and that’s it!

The hardware/software doesn’t know what you plug the master out into.

That’s the strange part. I did exactly that but nothing. Cables are good

You should check your I/O setup in Traktor then. It really makes no difference to the S4/Traktor what you plug the master out into. The fact that you got audio out by changing to external seems to be the give away that the issue is in the input/output routing of Traktors preferences.

Edit:

The reason why the faders no longer show up when you switch to external mode, is because they aren’t necessary if you are using a mixers faders to control the volume of the channel’s. The same is true of the crossfader.
