USB 3.0 power to USB 2.0 question

Hello,

I need 1 extra usb port ony my laptop (which has one usb 2.0 port and one usb 3.0 port), which is why this hub looks so interesting:

I’ve read the usb demystified post, but it didn’t completely cover how usb 3.0 power divides over a usb 2.0 hub.

I guess 900ma/2, but I’m not sure. Maybe someone with more knowledge on the subject can clarify this.

And one more question: How much milliamps does a novation launchpad need?
