Using the S4 with traktor pro
Except the sample decks, Traktor Pro seams better than Traktor S4.
So has anyone tried using the Kontrol S4 with the regular Traktor Pro ?
Is it possible to do it in HID ? or do you have to go back to midi ?
or the vu meters working ?
because I would like to get an S4 and used it with my TTs and traktor scratch as a mixer, I don’t want to wait for a software update.
You’d have to use midi mode, but why do you say that? It seems there are very few bugs in TPS4.

Do you already have TSP? If so then it doesn’t really matter since you’re planning on getting an S4 anyway.
If not, I wouldn’t bother getting both since there will at some point be a timecode update for S4 and TSP is quite a lot to spend just for Timecode. That said, it is half price and you do get an Audio 8…

yeah I have TSP since last year…
I am using it on CDJs + DJM when I play out…
At home I use a VCI-100, and just got some technics.
So right now i’m using the VCI as the mixer, but that sucks, I want a real mixer!
And since I also need a standalone portable controller for some gigs, I thought the S4 was the perfect compromise between a mixer and a all in one controller.
If I didn’t needed the portability, I would have bought a DJM 700, but it’s too heavy..
Well as i say since you already have TSP, buy the S4 and you can experiment and do as you wish.
