These files will only work with VCI-100’s that have the special edition firmware installed. Regular VCI-100 users may try them out as many of the functions will work but some functions will be disabled.
Please post any problems or bugs in this thread and the TKS file will be updated and added here. If you want to modify it yourself and post the results feel free to also do that here.
Changed:
Fader FX mode is now controlling the pitch faders and jog wheels in very interesting ways. Video to come soon.
VCI-100 Bug:
In normal mode, using Deck C cue will light up Deck C and Deck B cue buttons. They both work perfectly but the lighting is not working as intended.
I was able to open the TKS file at the office with WinZip but there are two files listed one is VCI_100SE_1_0 (105K) and the other is ._VCI_100SE_1_0 (82 bytes)? Am I supposed to use both when I upload them on Traktor 3?
can anybody give me a tutorial on how to set this up… got my vci today… have the audio 8dj… how do i set it up… and how can I listen to the music.. trough the sound card
Answer from DJ TT- There will be a tutorial video coming in the next few days. I shot it over the weekend and now need to do the editing.
I loaded the TKS file for VCI-100SE but either I am not using the controller correctly or there might be some bugs. A couple of things I noticed,
The FX Bank Deck Select (A, B, and C) doesn’t toggling between the effects when you select by using the FX Bank select. Also how do you select the ON button to turn the effect on?
Answer- There is no way to do this but I am working on a solution that will at least light them up when an effect is engaged. Long story
On deck C are the High’s, Mid’s and Low’s suppose to function when you have deck C on? I am able to control the volume on C but when I use the High’s, Mid’s and Low’s they are moving on deck B.
Answer- Thats a confirmed bug, will get fixed this week.
The loops are working for each deck (A,B,C, and D) but when I push the shorten button it doesn’t shorten the loops (nothing happens) (in snap mode). I am able to hold down the deck button i.e. A for the loop will shorten but is moving in fine mode and makes the loop out of sync. It’s not shortening by half
The effect bank select (A,B,C,) when I have Bank A selected and select Deck A FX (Reverb) it selects Flanger so I don’t the FX banks are selecting the correct FX, when I selected Flanger on Bank A and selected Deck A Flanger it indicates NO FX Selected.
the mid oscillator doesn’t do anything on the xone92 EQ. Neither, the mid hi or mid low move. is it supposed to do that?
Answer: Since there are limited knobs on the vci-100 this is set up for a 3 band EQ, if you want to use the xone then please re-map the 3 available knobs to the specific bands that you want. Otherwise they will work as labeled with the pioneer and traktor EQs
I’m using 3.2 maybe it’s the version I’m running, if this is the problem how can I fix this so the FX’s work? Also would this cause the High’s, Mid’s and Low’s on Deck C not work as well?
I might have to, but I think the TKS file should work for 3.2 and 3.3, plus I’m used to 3.2 and would rather not upgrade. But if I have to I will, thanks for the link…
hey Mark, I have uploaded a new TKS that fixes your EQ problem and tomorrow I will see if they made any FX order changes in 3.3. There should not have been a difference but I will confirm if its your version tomorrow. 3.3 is stable so I would not be too concerned about upgrading but let me make sure you need to.
I will give the new TKS file a test run tonight when I get home from the office, yes the office suit and tie…yeah let me know if I need to upgrade from 3.2 to 3.3, I would rather not but if I need to for the greater good I will.
Oops, I am still jet lagged and must have put that on page 3- it should be on all pages and yes, its easy to also re-map the filter and gain in Deck C mode to Deck C.
The EQ on Deck C is working when selected; High’s Mid’s and Low’s, but when Deck C is selected the Cue isn’t working (to listen so the crowd doesn’t hear) it’s enabling Deck B’s Cue not Deck C’s Cue.
Not sure if this is because I’m running 3.2 not 3.3
