VCI-100 Party
Hello DJTT,
I was considering investing on a VC1-100 but I have a few questions before I make the purchase (by the way I do own a Audio 8)
-If im playing out with just my mackbook pro and a vci-100 would i need any soundcard or can I just use my Audio 8?
i def say go with the vci! i bought one to some months ago and i´m more than glad i did.
to ur soundcart question: u do own an audio8. u don´t need any other other soundcart cause this thing is one of the best soundcarts u could get.
Your Audio8 would be your sound card.
Do some searches on google and ebay. You can get them pretty cheap used.
well im most likely going to purchase it but are there any products that do the same job, a little cheaper and around the same size?
The main thing that sets the VCI-100 apart is the touch sensitive jog wheels. No other controller in its price range has that.
If you don’t think this would be handy then it becomes less of a necessity to use one.
But I genuinely do believe that it is a solid, well built controller that is exactly the kind of quality we need as DJs.
then the vci-100 sounds good to me
reloop digital jockey 2 controller edition perhaps. No touch sensitive jogs, less cue juggle, no huge support (Djtt), but you might be able to find it for a good price.
Personally, I got my vci for 300, and I am damn happy with it. I love this shit haha.
I am a big fan of the VCI, and I’m suprised that it hasn’t really been surpassed since it has been made. The only thing I’d like it to do is 14bit midi. I take it to a few parties and I like it when my friends use it to mix. It is laid out like a dual cdj/mixer but the fader isn’t accurate enough without tempo nudge buttons, which confuses them somewhat.
The new American Audio device looks interesting but fugly.
If you don’t want to lug your audio8 around you can invest in a 2 channel soundcard like the audio2. I have both. It is portable, simple and LOUD.
