VCI-100 Where to start?

I bought a VCI-100 off Craigslist today its in good shape I tested it with the stock Traktor set up everything seems to work fine with. I would like to do the mods to bring it up to SE level is there a step by step guide somewhere?

  1. upgrade firmware
  2. Get overlay

Is that it?
Should I wait for a TP2 overlay to come out?
Are there any custom mapping I can use with the stock firmware till I order my mod chip?

dont wait for the tp2 mapping to come out. Here is what you should do. first, do you want arcade buttons on it? if not just upgrade the firmware and buy the overlay. If you do, watch eans tutorial vid:

But u might not want the DJ tech tools mapping. In that case I would just buy the overlay anyway and just paint it black or red or something..

Arcade

Not worried about the arcade buttons right now. I am trying this controller out to see if I can live without my 1200’s kinda need the space.
