Finally guys, it’s here! 14 bit midi support and finally we can trash the mini.translator (upped my latency to like 34ms with asio4all…effort was great but not the prettiest of solutions) and start using the vci300 for real!
Haven’t messed around with responsiveness etc in the jogs but what it’s at now is still not the feel you get with Itch..(I want the long and coloured waveforms rolling at the bottom of my screen in Traktor too!) but overall it;s useable as hell. It’s better than the vci-100 jogs (from memory as I had that before)
I am having problems with jogs too. They are weird and tried to adjust them but not working. I thought I had all working before but had Mini. Trans on When it is now off, new midi cc and not working at all like I had visioned.
I’d like to see a TSI completely like ITCH for the VCI-300.
So every button, knob and jogs work like it’s written on the controller.
That would be kind of plug&play, and if some other features (effects, …) are wanted we could map them to any second controller like the Korg nanos for example.
This could be a startup file for beginners and a quickstart for using Traktor Pro with the VCI-300 I guess.
plug and play defo the best bet, korg nano pad is perfect for effects, keep it nice and simple like itch, novation nocturn seems a good bet for effects a friend has it setup and he says its perfect..
That Novation Nocturn looks sweet. For me if Itch had some nice fx per channel, filter, 3rd deck option ,and all assignable to an additional midi controller, I’d be set, and be only be on Itch. Itch has awesome midi timing and control.
Think I got it to work, but may need some adjusting.
try relative mode.
One thing I do not understand is why the decks lock and will not play at times
and phase meters have waves go back n forth..Seems like some master/sync issue.
Had a sleepless night and I got almost everything to work.
Level monitor works how it should, all LED’s are working perfectly, scratch feels very good, and a lot more. Mine VCI-300 is shining again. :]
