The defnite Fix for Windows 7(64bit) users.
To fix the issue you will need to download two things first.
They will help you keep an eye on what goes on in your computer.
LatencyMon and DPC latency checker. I believe Cnet has both and they re free. If not, google them and there you go.
Two effective tools to check latency issues.
After downloading those two programs, run them.
There are usually three things you will notice constantly coming up
- ACPI (Power management of your battery)
- ndis.sys
- tcp/ip
These are notorious for high latency.
You can turn the ACPI off. Right click your computer icon and go to properties. Then click on device manager. Click on the one labeled batter, of course, and the second option should be ACPI power management. you can either right click or double click to hit the disable option. What this does is turns off the power saver feature. It will put you in to your default power setting (Balanced or High Performance) and you will lose your battery icon. This is not bad thing. This will lower your latency a good bit. After that, plug in your controller and check out the ratings on the DPC latency program. They should be in the green and low. If not, adjust your latency in your DJ program.
Also, another helpful tip is to make sure that your computer is set to perform for background services and not just programs.
To do that go to your control panel, click on system and security, then click advanced system settings (located to your left), a window will open and then you click the advanced tab and then hit the settings button under performance. Another window will open and you will need to lick on the advanced tab in this windown and then simply click to choose background services.
This should pretty much, if not completely fix the issues you are having. I was goign through the same issues with my toshiba a665 win7(64bit) intel i3 processor 4g ram 640g hdd.
You will have to keep an eye on everything using the two programs you downloaded, but you’ll get the feel of everything and won’t need them really anymore.
